Browser Dialer
Predylo includes a built-in browser dialer powered by Twilio Voice (WebRTC). Call any lead worldwide without leaving the app — from the dedicated Dialer page, the leads list, or lead detail.
Every completed call is recorded, logged on the lead’s activity timeline, and summarized by AI when recording and API keys are configured.
What you get
- In-browser calling — Real outbound calls via WebRTC; no desk phone required
- Dial pad — Manual number entry plus lead search to pre-fill name, company, and phone
- Call controls — Live timer, mute, and hang up
- Automatic recording — Stored securely; playback from call history
- AI post-call summary — Claude generates key points, next steps, and follow-up recommendations
- Activity logging — Every call appears on the lead with duration, status, and summary
- Working-hours warning — Timezone-aware alert when calling outside the lead’s business hours
- Call stats — Calls today, total talk time, and connect rate on the Dialer page
Who uses it?
- Sales reps doing phone outreach alongside email sequences.
- Admins and owners configuring Twilio credentials in org settings.
Reps can dial immediately once Twilio is set up. No per-user phone configuration is needed.
Prerequisites
An org admin must configure Twilio under Settings → Integrations:
- Account SID and Auth Token
- API Key SID and API Secret (for browser tokens)
- TwiML App SID
- Outbound phone number
Optional but recommended:
- OpenAI API key — Enables Whisper transcription from recordings (better summaries)
- Anthropic API key — Powers AI post-call summaries
See API Keys & Integrations for the full list.
Open the dialer
Three entry points:
- Dialer page (
/dialer) — Full dial pad, call history, and stats - Lead detail — Click the Call button to open the dialer sheet pre-filled with the lead’s phone
- Leads list — Quick-call icon on rows with a phone number
- Pipeline board — Call button on deal cards
The in-app dialer opens as a sheet (side panel) on lead pages so you stay in context.
Make a call
- Search for a lead or type a number on the dial pad (E.164 format recommended, e.g.
+14155551234). - Click Call. Twilio connects through your browser microphone.
- Use Mute if needed; click Hang up when finished.
- The call status updates (ringing → in progress → completed).
If the lead has no phone on file, enrich the lead first or enter the number manually.
After the call
When a call completes with recording enabled:
- Recording saved — Available in call history and on the lead detail page
- Transcription (optional) — OpenAI Whisper transcribes the recording if configured
- AI summary — Claude writes a structured summary: what was discussed, objections, next steps
- Activity log entry — Title includes contact name and duration; body contains the AI summary
- Follow-up prompt — Create a task or meeting directly from the dialer
You can regenerate insights from call history if the first summary was incomplete (e.g. transcription arrived late).
Call history
The Dialer page shows recent calls with:
- Contact name and company (linked to lead when matched)
- Date, duration, and status (completed, no-answer, busy, failed)
- Expandable row: AI summary, full transcription, audio playback
Search and filter to find past conversations quickly.
Log calls without the dialer
If you called from your mobile phone, you can still log the outcome on lead detail under Call notes — but browser calls log automatically and include recording plus AI summary.
Working hours warning
Before connecting, Predylo checks the lead’s timezone (when known). If the local time is outside typical business hours (before 8 AM or after 6 PM), you’ll see a warning. You can still proceed — useful for scheduled callbacks.
Tips
- Use headphones — WebRTC audio quality is best with a headset mic.
- Set timezones on leads — Improves working-hours warnings. Timezone is inferred during enrichment when possible.
- Review summaries before CRM sync — Edit or add a note on the activity log if the AI missed context.
- Complete cadence call steps — Cadence call tasks link here; log the call and mark the step done.
- Check Twilio debug — Admins can hit
/api/twilio/debugfor configuration diagnostics if calls fail to connect.
